I got the idea to start blogging about things I found interesting from a variety of different people. Personally, writing was not something I could fathom as a hobby of mine (much less reading for that matter). But, I know that sharing knowledge and giving feedback helps us participate in a community which values learning and wisdom. I have to thank the several people at the kidney center, as well as some people in my Fantasy Football league for their kind words in complimenting my writing (they rely on me for power rankings in our FF league, which I am happy to do at times). Without such praise, I would not have pursued this personal project of mine.

The goal is to share light on things that I view as worthwhile information to be made aware of. My hope is to focus on literature and science-related subjects. Literature allows us to consider ideas from authors that can engage people in discussion or contemplation. Science can illuminate and reveal truths about unknowns, reflecting on one of the many meanings of life: discovery.
